By engaging with their schools (students, parents, supervisors, educators, and staff), the police, while using their views, are aware of security and law enforcement problems in the community and can be more successful in maintaining order and security. The main purpose of this research is to identify the effect of police education and interaction with students on crime reduction and its secondary purpose is to determine the most appropriate way of police interaction with the school. The independent variable is the general education of students, parents and supervisors, instructors and school staff, and the dependent variable is crime reduction. The statistical population is staff and educators including principals and teachers of boys' high schools in northeast of Tehran in 2007. The sample size is 236 according to Cochran formula. Research data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire with Likert spectrum (α = 0.91). After analyzing the data, the main research hypothesis, "The effect of police-school interaction with awareness-raising approach on crime reduction" and the three sub-hypotheses of the research, there is a significant relationship between police-educators and school staff and crime reduction. 2. There is a significant relationship between police interaction with parents and student supervisors and crime reduction. As a result, there is a significant relationship between police interaction with schools and crime reduction. In addition, the results show that each of these variables has a significant and direct relationship with crime reduction. Police interaction with school coaches and staff with a coefficient of 2.11, police interaction with parents and supervisors of students with a coefficient of 2.01, and police interaction with students with a coefficient of 1.88 were prioritized and independent research characteristics and variables were obtained.
